Work Ready Achievements

Year 12 Work Ready student Riley embarked on a journey that led him to a school-based apprenticeship in Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Technician with Transdev in Capalaba. Throughout Years 11 and 12, Riley’s commitment and outstanding work ethic shone brightly during his work experience placements, ultimately securing him this exciting opportunity. His persistence and dedication have truly paid off, showcasing the power of hard work and determination. Congratulations to Riley on this achievement!
Year 11 Work Ready student Harriet had an exceptional work experience placement earlier this year, which has led to her securing a school-based Real Estate traineeship with Freedom Property in Cleveland. Harriet’s enthusiasm and ability to seamlessly integrate into the team reflect her dedication and adaptability. Congratulations, Harriet, on this remarkable achievement!
 

Year 11 Work Ready student Oscar completed work experience with Macwell Property in Capalaba. Oscar’s positive attitude shone, and he demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills. The staff at Macwell were so impressed with him that they offered him a school-based Real Estate traineeship. Congratulations to Oscar on this exciting opportunity.

The College Languages Department is currently seeking two delightful homes that are willing to host a Japanese exchange student during Term 3 of 2024. One home is required for a male student and another for a female student. Each hosting period will last for four weeks.
If you’re interested and want to learn more, please complete the following expression of interest form.
It is not necessary for your child or family to be enrolled in our language program to participate in this unique opportunity.

Project Vila

This morning, we said farewell to the first group of Year 9 students heading to Narpow Point Education Centre, Vanuatu, for Project Vila. This unique two-week service program offers immersion, global citizenship, and personal growth through community living and work, positively impacting the world. We wish all our 2024 Year 9 students an enriching experience at Project Vila.

ANZAC Commemoration Service

The Redlands College invites all parents, students and staff to our ANZAC Commemoration Service held on Wednesday morning, 24 April 2024 starting at 11:00am in the College Sports Centre.

Commemorative badges will be available for purchase at Student Reception for $5; wristbands for $3.  Donations can also be made at Student Reception toward Mates4Mates, the Australian Defence Force Veterans Charity for those impacted by service.

Community@Redlands – Freeze it Forward

Kids Rock the Kitchen along with some wonderful College families, hosted its inaugural Community Cooking Class during the holidays for the Community@Redlands’ Freeze it Forward Program. This initiative aims to provide frozen meal packs for families in need within our school community.
With the help of 6 amazing volunteers and our College Heart Kitchens, they whipped up:
6 Family Packs of Chicken Fried Rice
8 Single Packs of Chicken Fried Rice
4 Family Packs of Chicken and Veggie Curry
5 Family Packs of Mac and Cheese
4 Family Packs of Cottage Pies
A huge shoutout to KRTK and all our volunteers for their generosity and hard work! We are truly blessed to have such a supportive community.

Junior, Middle and Senior Schools Cross Country Results

Yesterday was an awesome day at our Junior, Middle, and Senior Cross Country Carnivals! The energy was off the charts, pumped up by fierce competition and team pride. We saw some incredible races and loads of unforgettable moments. Big props to our amazing runners for their killer speed and stamina that wowed everyone. Plus, it was our first time streaming the event live—super cool to have parents cheering from all over!
