The ceremony, which dates to the Middle Ages, will include a formal parade of RAAF representatives from all nine of No.95 Wing’s squadrons, accompanied by a military band.

International Women’s Day

At the Defence Force International Women’s Day Morning Tea, YR11 students Sophie Kirk, Allegra-Jane Morgan, and Savannah De Lile, accompanied by our Pathways Advisor, Margaret Smith, were moved by the insightful stories from women who served in defence. The event showcased a range of opportunities specifically for women, with speakers detailing how their careers, notably marked by extensive travel, fundamentally transformed them. They spoke of a journey filled with invaluable experiences, leading them to their current successes without harbouring any regrets. Highlighting that there was no single route into defence roles and that one didn’t need to join straight out of school. The narratives also explored the historical progression of women in defence and the supportive, empowering environment that allowed them to become the best version of themselves.
