Gold Coast Titans’ All Schools Touch Football Competition

Gold Coast Titans’ All Schools Touch Football Competition

During the second week of the school holidays, Redlands College was represented by three teams at the Gold Coast Titans’ All Schools Touch Football Competition. Bringing together more than 400 teams from a number of different countries, it’s the biggest school touch football competition in the world!

It was a fantastic four days of competition for our 15 Boys, 15 Girls and 18 Boys teams. While each team recorded two wins from either 6 or 7 pool games, many losses were close-scoring and heavily contested by our players. In the case of both 15s teams, many players were just 12 or 13 years old, so teams punched well above their weight. Our coaches were proud and super impressed with all our performances at the competition.

A big shout to touch football weapon Kate Hammond and her Assistant Eloise Gilbert for coaching the 15 Girls team along with Derek Smith, who spent the entire tournament with our RC teams, Jess Morland and Luke O’Sullivan. Looking forward to continuing to grow the sport at Redlands in the coming years!
