BASKETBALL | This week, Redlands College was privileged to host the inaugural Girls Cleveland Classic Basketball Tournament in our Sports Centre. Students from schools across South East Queensland competed in a Junior and Intermediate competition across a two-day tournament. Our Junior girls competed strongly, but it was our Senior girl’s team who stole the show. After winning a thrilling semi-final against Cleveland State High School, the girls came out strongly in the first half of the Final before going down narrowly to Brisbane Adventist College. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed! We look forward to hosting many more girls’ tournaments in the years to come!

VOLLEYBALL | Redlands College participated in the CSSAQ Volleyball Tournament on the Gold Coast this week. A number of teams achieved outstanding results, with notable mentions going to overall Champions Junior Boys, Intermediate Girls, and Senior Boys, with Junior Girls and Senior Girls placing second. This is an outstanding achievement to have all of our Redlands College teams playing in a final at this event. Well done to everyone who played!

NETBALL | The Redlands College Senior Girls netball team competed at the Bayside District Senior School Gala Day on Wednesday this week. Despite being significantly younger than the other competing teams, the girls took out the tournament and were crowned District Champions! This is a significant achievement and the product of the hard work the girls have been putting in during their Netball Academy training sessions with coaches Jannette Harry and Donna Huthinson. Well done, girls!

CROSS COUNTRY | A huge congratulations to Shaniah Fergusson and Emma Mossop, who were both selected to represent Metropolitan East at the recent Queensland Schools Cross Country Championships! Both athletes are exceptionally committed to their training schedules, having started with the Redlands College Running Club with Mrs Bev Faulks at a young age. They are a great example of what consistency can achieve and we look forward to many more great results from both students. Congratulations!
