Redlands College is part of the Gateway to Industry program (GISP) in Construction. From time to time, students are given an opportunity to participate in work experience within the industry at a paraprofessional level. This includes areas such as Estimating, Contract Administration, Workplace Health & Safety, Interior Design etc. More can be found about the different areas HERE!

As part of this program, two of our students undertook work experience during the Easter holidays. Katelyn Columbus and Harrison Waldron, both in Year 11, completed one-week work experience with FK Gardner & Sons. Katelyn explored Workplace Health & Safety at FKG’s Coomera worksite, and Harrison worked in the Contract Administration & Estimating area at their head office in Mitchelton. They valued the experience, and it has assisted them in narrowing their future plans. We want to thank FKG and CSQ for providing these opportunities for our students.
