Setup Guide
Following is a general outline for the steps required for the first-time setup of an iCloud account and BYO iPad ready for use at school. Please keep in mind, several of these steps require a College login before they are able to be completed. (Note: If you receive a College supplied device in Years Prep – 7, these steps are already completed.)
- Create an Apple ID
- If you have more than one Apple device in the family, Family Sharing allows you to share app purchases between them
- Basic Device Setup
- This is how you install an app, a list of College required apps can be found on our knowledge base.
- Enable iCloud Backup, to ensure that recovery is possible should anything happen to your iPad
- Setup College Emails using the Gmail app
