Our YR10 & YR11 Japanese students did an “online exchange” session with our sister school Chiben Gakuen Nara College, Year 6 students.
We do this a few times a year, but this one was special, because some of the students visited Chiben Gakuen in Nara during the Japan tour in April. They met face to face and became friends. It was exciting for them to ‘meet’ again. (I’m attaching “reunion” photos of a few students who met in April.)
Students talked about their hobbies, favourite foods as well as “Show & Tell” of their favourite items using each other’s languages. Some students brought their favourite books, mascots, pencil cases etc. It was interesting not only speaking the languages, but also seeing each other’s culture through what they have.
What a great experience for both school students to practice what they learnt in the real life situation!
