On Wednesday, 3 September at 1:30 PM, the College Oval will once again host the annual Matthew Stanley Memorial Rugby League match, a much-loved tradition that honours the life of Matthew Stanley, a Redlands College student who tragically lost his life in 2006 following a coward punch attack.

More than just a game, this event carries a powerful message. The match, played between the Year 11 and Year 12 boys, is always a tightly contested game, filled with passion, pride, and camaraderie. It’s an opportunity for the Redlands community – students, staff, alumni, and families – to come together in reflection and support.

We invite the entire Redlands College community to join us on the Oval and cheer on both teams as they play in memory of Matthew, honouring his legacy while promoting the values of respect, resilience, and positive masculinity that this match represents.
