Congratulations to these VET students!

Congratulations to Year 12 VET student Jack, who has been signed up for a school-based carpentry apprenticeship with Ben Lowther at Dawn Carpentry. Jack completed a stint of work experience with Ben and worked really hard. This led to discussions resulting in an offer of an apprenticeship. Ben values investing in the next generation of builders both in skill and character. Zac Kemp (alumni 2020) is also an apprentice with Ben and they are both excited to welcome Jack to Dawn Carpentry. Well done Jack!

Congratulations to Year 12 VET student, Jakewho has secured a school-based traineeship with Blue Tongue Adventure. Blue Tongue Adventure is an NDIS approved disability day service provided for young school leavers. Jake began his journey with a successful block of work experience at the cafe arm of the business at Thorneside. The team at Blue Tongue Cafe were very impressed with Jake’s natural ability to connect with their clients and were thrilled to be able to offer Jake a Disability Support Worker School-based Traineeship. Jake is loving the work and he is excited about the numerous opportunities available to him within the Blue Tongue Group. Great work Jake!

Congratulations to Year 11 VET student Ella, who has started a school-based traineeship with Gloss Skin & Beauty at Wellington Point. Ella has an interest in makeup and after a successful work experience placement, was offered a school-based business traineeship. Ella will be working alongside the owner of Gloss, one day a week and experience hands-on training. Ella is also studying a Certificate III in Beauty Services at TAFE. The team at Gloss are impressed with Ella’s keen attitude to learn, her bubbly nature and her work ethic. Well done Ella and thank you Gloss Skin & Beauty for partnering with us.
