Calling all recent Redlands alumni with a sense of adventure!

The Spanish Ministry of Education has opened applications for its 2026–2027 Language and Culture Assistants Program, and it could be the perfect next step for recent graduates considering a gap year or overseas experience.

The program offers Australian university students and graduates the chance to spend an academic year living in Spain, working in local schools as English language and cultural assistants. It’s a wonderful way to combine international experience, cultural immersion, and educational service.

Participants receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, and ongoing support throughout the year. And the best part? No Spanish is required – successful applicants only use English while working in schools.

If you have a passion for languages, travel, or education, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Applications close 30 June 2026.
